Im Frühjahr 2025 haben wir in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Stadt Wien und einer Vielzahl an weiteren Partner:innen ein Zentrum für Bildungsinnovation eröffnet. Unser Ziel ist es, mit dem neuen Bildungszentrum einen Ort zu schaffen, an dem sich Pädagog:innen, Bildungsinitiativen, sowie weitere Gestalter:innen in Politik, Wirtschaft und Verwaltung treffen, vernetzen und voneinander lernen können. So können sich die wirkungsvollsten Lösungen und Innovationen rasch verbreiten und schnellstmöglich in die Kindergärten, Schulen und das Bildungssystem gelangen.

Wir suchen eine:n Communications Lead mit Leidenschaft für Bildung, der/die die strategische Kommunikation unseres neuen Zentrums für Bildungsinnovation gestaltet. Du positionierst das Education Lab als führendes Innovations- und Kollaborationszentrum, indem du Akteur:innen aus Bildung, Politik, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft ansprichst und unsere Wirkung sichtbar machst.

Verantwortung

Strategische Führung für Marke, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Kommunikation
Verantwortung für die Steuerung und Pflege der Markenidentität, insbesondere der Brand Voice
Entwicklung, Bewertung und kontinuierliche Optimierung der Kommunikations- und Kampagnenstrategie in Abstimmung mit der übergeordneten Organisationsstrategie
Aufbau und Leitung des Kommunikationsteams sowie Beratung bei der Gestaltung der Rollen und Aufgaben
Aktive Pressearbeit inklusive Pflege und Ausbau des Presseverteilers
Initiierung, Einführung und Qualitätsmanagement neuer Kommunikationskanäle (z. B. Newsletter, Magazin, Social Media)
Content Management: Gemeinsame Entscheidungsfindung mit anderen Rollen über Veröffentlichungen und die Einholung relevanter Informationen aus verschiedenen Bereichen und von Partner:innen
Steuerung der Erstellung und Weiterentwicklung von Kommunikationsmaterialien (z. B. Templates, Präsentationen, Website-Inhalte)
Texterstellung, Korrekturlesen und Übersetzungen für interne und externe Kommunikationskanäle

Eigenschaften

Leidenschaft und Gestaltungswille für das Bildungssystem sowie Vertrautheit mit den Herausforderungen und Chancen in diesem Bereich.
Verständnis für Marketing und Kommunikation, insbesondere in der Gestaltung von Inhalten und Kampagnen für soziale Netzwerke und digitale Plattformen.
Fähigkeit und Freude daran, mehrere Projekte parallel zu managen, anspruchsvolle Veranstaltungen zu organisieren und intensive Kommunikation zu pflegen.
Kreativität und Innovationsfreude, um neue Formate und Ideen einzubringen
Sicherer Umgang mit gängigen Tools & Plattformen (z. B. CMS, Newsletter-Systeme, Canva,..) von Vorteil
Hoher Eigenanspruch in Bezug auf Arbeitsorganisation, Prioritätensetzung, Selbstmanagement und eine hohe Umsetzungsorientierung sowie Arbeitsqualität.
Ausgezeichnete schriftliche und mündliche Kenntnisse in Deutsch und Englisch.
Mindestens drei Jahre Erfahrung in strategischer Kommunikation, PR oder Markenführung

Angebot

Arbeitszeit: 25 - 40 Stunden/Woche mit einem flexiblen Arbeitszeitmodell
Startdatum: September/Oktober 2025
Vergütung: Das Jahresgehalt für Vollzeitkräfte beträgt zwischen 43.484 € und 63.672 € brutto (Vollzeit), abhängig von Ausbildungsgrad, Qualifikationen und Berufserfahrung (unserem internen Gehaltsschema entsprechend). Es unterliegt einer jährlichen Inflationsanpassung (erste Anpassung im März 2026). Die Stelle ist zunächst auf 18 Monate befristet, mit der Option auf Verlängerung.
Arbeitsort: Education Lab (1040), sowie Mitbenutzung von Impact Hub (1070), Climate Lab (1090) und Future Health Lab (1100)

Description

In spring 2025, we opened the Education Lab in close collaboration with the City of Vienna and numerous other partners. Our goal with this new education center is to create a place where educators, educational initiatives, and other key stakeholders from politics, business, and public administration can come together, connect, and learn from each other. This way, the most impactful solutions and innovations can spread quickly and find their way into kindergartens, schools, and the education system as soon as possible.

We are looking for a Communications Lead passionate about education to shape the strategic communication of our Education Lab. You will position the Education Lab as a leading innovation and collaboration hub by engaging stakeholders from education, politics, business, and science and showcasing our impact.

Your Responsibilities

Responsibility for managing and maintaining the brand identity, especially the brand voice
Development, evaluation, and continuous optimization of communication and campaign strategies in alignment with the overall organizational strategy
Building and leading the communications team, including advising on role and task design
Active press relations, including maintenance and expansion of the press distribution list
Initiation, implementation, and quality management of new communication channels (e.g., newsletter, magazine, social media)
Content management: joint decision-making with other roles regarding publications and gathering relevant information from various departments and partners
Oversight of the creation and development of communication materials (e.g., templates, presentations, website content)
Copywriting, proofreading, and translations for internal and external communication channels

What you bring

Passion and commitment to shaping the education system, along with familiarity with its challenges and opportunities.
Understanding of marketing and communication, especially in creating content and campaigns for social networks and digital platforms.
Ability and enthusiasm to manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize demanding events, and maintain intensive communication.
Creativity and eagerness to innovate by developing new formats and ideas.
Confident use of common tools and platforms (e.g., CMS, newsletter systems, Canva, etc.) is an advantage.
High personal standards regarding work organization, prioritization, self-management, strong execution focus, and work quality.
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
At least three years of experience in strategic communication, PR, or brand management.

Job Specifications

Working hours: 25 to 40 hours/ week with a flexible working time model
Start date: September/October 2025
Compensation: The annual salary for full-time employees ranges from 43.484€ to 63.672€ gross, depending on education level, qualifications, and work experience (according to our internal salary scheme). It is subject to an annual inflation adjustment (first adjustment in March 2026). This position is initially limited to 18 months, with the option for extension.
Work location: Education Lab (1040), with shared use of Impact Hub (1070), Climate Lab (1090), and Future Health Lab (1100)
